Barcelona! Olive Moon concert

Across the street one night there was a concert, Olive Moon. Not sure where from, because they talked in Catalan but sang some (all) in English. Free, open air concert in a beautiful little courtyard.

Barcelona! Playa!

I spent my first full day going down to the beach, but since then I've only gone there at night, swimming around 2am. Great way to end the night, but a bit of a hike to get home after (sandy and salty). Especially when you try to be sneaky and take shortcuts. Twice I've looked at a metro map for directions, headed off, took a few turns and ended up at the same metro map... But always found home eventually!

Barcelona! Night!

Most nights I left my camera at home, but I spend a lot of time wandering through little cobblestone alleys, finding little gems like this forgotten baguette or superman. One night (the last night) I decided to do the clubbing thing. Very late night but super fun. Drew and Peter are excellent dancers

Hair cut!

On its way to a buzz, Alex did some experimenting with the little scissors. So much cooler!

Barcelona! Zoo!

Barcelona! Walkin around

Walking around Barcelona I was struck mostly by the age of the city, how long these streets have been streets and how long civilization has been carrying on. Seeing a roman wall also made me appreciate the difficulty of such massive construction, especially without sophisticated technology or electric machinery!
